American Idol’s Elliott Yamin—No More Snaggletooth

Elliott Yamin had a crazy fan base when he competed on American Idol. Will even more fans jump on board now that he’s undergone $50,000 worth of dental work? Elliott, don’t you know beauty is only skin deep? With porcelain veneers and 20 hours of dental time to fix his crossbite, we’ll see if the makeover was worth the pain of a new smile. Girlfriend Jaime Paetz said, “He loves to laugh, he loves to smile. I liked his old teeth, but if (the veneers) make him happy, then I’m happy.“
Beverly Hills dentist David Frey provided the dental work free of charge, so I guess it was a no-brainer to have the work done. “I’ve always wanted to have a nicer smile,“ says Yamin. “I used to look at old pictures of myself, and I figured out how to kind of smile without displaying all my teeth.“ Yamin just signed on with Sony’s publishing division for a songwriting deal and his debut album will drop in early 2007. Ah, plenty of reasons to smile.

It’s funny that Elliott is warned “don’t you know that beauty is only skin deep” in the same article that labels him a former snaggletooth. Of course I’m just a “crazy fan” noticing this.

Thanks for the article about Elliott. I loved his old smile and I love his new smile. I love his voice and I love the way he makes me feel. I love his new Christmas single and I can’t wait to buy his first solo CD in 2007. He seems happy, so I’m happy.
Yep, I’m one of his crazy fans. LOL.
Thanks again. Happy holidays.

Elliott’s got a lot o’ love! Thanks for sounding off—I don’t mean nuts/loco/kookoo when I say ‘crazy.‘ I mean a crazy amount of fans, as in the number! He is a fantastic talent, and I don’t think the veneers are what makes the man in this case. Happy holidays all

Elliott always has had an endearing smile and infectious laughter. Now with nice straight teeth, it’s even better to see him smile. Having the work done may have helped his voice and it didn’t hurt it a bit, from recent recordings.

I must be one of his “crazy” Yaminion fans as I flew to Richmond, Va. for his first concert back on Oct.8th. His family was great, he was superb, and the blend of his singing and the dynamite vibe of the whole concert was just the bomb! I will continue to be a fan, will fly to his next concert, and yes, I voted my fingers off! He IS a rising star, and this star will shine for a long while. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and a very Happy New Year, Elliott! Elizabeth
