Brad Pitt Makes America Great?

Brad PittNewsweek recently named Brad Pitt one of “15 People Who Make America Great”, although there are some who might disagree with this honor.

Lauded for bringing much-needed publicity (and money) to impoverished African nations, the article states that Pitt and Angelina Jolie chose to have their baby in Namibia in order to lure the paparazzi to the country. However, Namibia’s National Society for Human Rights alleges that the couple had visiting journalists deported for “harassment”, contradicting their claim that they hoped to attract the media’s attention.  NSHR also feels that persuading the government to shut down the border was an abuse of the couple’s power.

Newsweek also mentioned Pitt’s sponsorship of the Global Green USA architecture competition to create affordable, eco-friendly housing in New Orleans and his donation of four million dollars - earned from the sale of new baby Shiloh’s photos to People magazine – to African charities.

However, amidst all the publicity that Pitt’s “happy family” has received, few people ever mention the fact that (if you do your math) Jolie was expecting Pitt’s child before his divorce from Jennifer Aniston was finalized. Although Pitt and Aniston technically separated months before the pregnancy, many blame Jolie – and a suspected affair – for the decline of their marriage.

Many would say that Jolie is the true humanitarian force behind the couple because she has been traveling the globe - volunteering, spreading goodwill, and adopting third-world babies - long before she became romantically linked to Pitt. The article does cite her as the catalyst that caused Pitt to become so politically active, but she was otherwise absent from Newsweek’s list.

all about expecting Pitt’s child is a false from tarakanova excaim

Thank you so much for telling the truth. NEWSWEEK has fallen short in my eyes, that they would praise a man with no morals who is using charity as a means to cleans his sins in the eyes of society and massage his ego telling him that he makes America great. What a bunch of CRAP!

we in africa do not want such role models for our children they are immoral and buy kids in poor countries were decent people cannot adopt because they are 40yrs of age or do not have he money these two crazies have it is all done for fame an if you had to investicate their back grounds they would not be allowed to adopt in their own country the un should drop them as un ambassadors and pick clive owen or bon jovi and his wife as they spokes persons from a concerned african and mother

Jolie is truly humanitarian while his EX is truly materialistic..holywood stereotype

So what if she was pregnant before the divorce was final?  Jennifer Aniston was sleeping with Vince Vaughn before the divorce was final!  They weren’t going to change their minds about the divorce so when she got pregnant is irrelevant!  And as far as him “having an affair”, even Jennifer Aniston said “Nobody cheated, no one was carousing around, it just didn’t work.“ when she was asked about their split up.  Give it a break STFU and let them live their lives.  Brad deserves this honor a hell of a lot more than Jennifer deserved to be “man of the year” especially with all those young MEN over in Iraq fighting and dying for their country and their belief in democracy!  What a slap in the face that was to them!!!

FYI: The opinions stated here are not the opinions of me, the author. They are the opinions of certain members of the media and certain “fans”.

Nowhere did I state that I think Brad Pitt does NOT make America great, nor did I state that he does. It’s a news byte. Relax.

way to go Brad Pitt
i’m really happy for him
he found his purpose in his life
