It looks like the fourth time was still a charm for FOX. Although it was down 28% from 2007’s numbers, yesterday’s game between the Phillies and the Rays was the best of the series so far. Despite competition from ABC, Game 4 of the World Series gave its network wins in both categories last night.

World Series Game 48pm

  • Approximately 15.5 million watched the Philadelphia Phillies take Game 4 of the (5.1 in 18-49).

Realizing the network has not been receiving the kind of attention it would like, NBC has already decided to change up its fall programming schedule. Starting next month, Wednesday nights will start to look a bit more like a page from CBS.

Although the show has already seen time slots on Mondays and Fridays, is now being given a third chance on hump days this season. As of November 5th, the sophomore series will be sandwiched in between airings of Knight Rider and the original Law & Order. This scheduling adjustment will give then NBC its very own crime-related evening.

In the event you’re not a follower of AMC’s (there are many of you out there), you can still benefit from Don Draper’s personal selling techniques.

In this sketch from yesterday’s Saturday Night Live, actor shows us why the ladies are so drawn to his character.

Apparently a World Series just isn’t a World Series if the two teams aren’t names people care about. Although the numbers weren’t horrible, the ratings for Game 2 fell behind several Thursday programs. By night’s end, CBS was on top again in both categories.

Eleventh Hour8pm

  • (13.4 million, 4.4/12 in 18-49) picked up 500,000.
  • Approximately 12.8 million watched Game 2 of the (8.1/13).
  • Lindsay Lohan helped (8.7 million, 2.8/8) round up 500,000 more.
  • (6.3 million, 2.4/7) was down 200,000; (5 million, 2.2/6) fell by 1 million.
  • (4.2 million, 1.7/5) was up slightly.

What’s better than a Tina Fey cameo on ? A Palin sketch that also includes Will Ferrell.

On tonight’s special Thursday broadcast, the popular SNL alum made a surprise return to play the current POTUS. Not so coincidentally, Will is also prepping to bring his version of Bush to Broadway next year.

Was Ferrell’s visit really a shameless promotion for You’re Welcome America. A Final Night With George W. Bush? Who cares?

Although the Philadelphia Phillies and the Tampa Bay Rays saw smaller numbers than last year’s matchup, Game 1 of the World Series still hit a home run. Last night’s kickoff gave FOX wins in both the viewers and the demos.

After tons of hype and media attention, vice presidential candidate finally made an appearance (for real) on SNL. I would have rather just watched Tina Fey (who at least makes the wanna-be veep seem charming)…and apparently I’m not alone in that sentiment.

“Quite frankly, it’s a big mistake to let her go on,” said former regular and Weekend Update anchor Chevy Chase. “Apparently, she [Sarah Palin] cannot improvise herself out of a paper bag!” Or drooping polls.
