Will Real Housewives’ Kim Zolciak Really Make an Album?
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Bravo, Cable, Gossip, Video
Anyone with a pair of ears - or any set of standards - knows one thing: Kim Zolciak can’t sing. Unfortunately, that’s something the delusional star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta refuses to believe.
Despite her disastrous recording session with producer Dallas Austin - and her cringe-inducing lesson with a vocal coach (that can be seen above) - Zolciak insists her career is still a go. In an interview with Essence magazine, the woman with the “God-given talent” warned us to be on the lookout for her upcoming single.
My first song, “Tight Rope,“ will be out the first week in January, but I’m not sure when the album will be coming out. [Dallas Austin] wrote and produced it. He originally sent me three but I fell in love with the beat and lyrics. The song is about walking a tight rope with somebody. It [speaks] to my personal life and my relationship and just life in general. It definitely applies to my life, but after seeing that footage on the show where it looks like I can’t sing! I guess it makes for good television but it looked awful to me. People will just have to wait for my album to see the deal.

South Park’s Last Hurrah: A Big Screen Sequel
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Animation, Comedy, Cable, Gossip

When Trey Parker and Matt Stone decide to pull the plug on South Park, they won’t quietly fade from the scene with a single half-hour TV stint. These two comedy masters will say good-bye in a way the fans can appreciate (and spend a lot more money on): with another big-screen version of the show.
Don’t worry, avid Park fans, the show isn’t scheduling to end itself anytime soon. Parker and Stone are signed on with Comedy Central until 2011, at which time they may or may not decide to renew their contract.
“We talked about maybe some day doing a movie to sort of end it all, and that seems like the best idea,” said Parker to the press recently. “That’s been a big thought, to do the last show as a movie.”

Food Network’s Chef Jeff Project Comes to a Close
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Reality, Cable, Editorial

After six episodes and five weeks, Food Network’s ambitious Chef Jeff Project ended Sunday night. The season finale offered up everything viewers wanted to see, a delectable combination of food, drama and happy endings. If this delicious reality dish has any flaws, it’s that the season was too short and no reunion show is being presented next week.
The project all began with chef Jeff Henderson, who served hard time for selling drugs. During his incarceration, Henderson began to learn the culinary arts. Food led him to success, and today Henderson is a well-known and award-winning cook - not to mention budding reality star. His happy experiences with food led to the Chef Jeff Project, an inspiring plan to pull six young adults out of the ghetto and into an upper-class catering business.

Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:
CSI: Miami: No matter what you think of Diddy, you can’t deny the mans’ diversity. Who else could front several reality shows, star in A Raisin in the Sun and take on David Caruso? According to Entertainment Tonight, the mogul is scheduled to air in two episodes of the CBS drama next year. He will play a federal prosecutor (yeah, I know) who has a personal and professional beef with Horatio’s team.

Battlestar Galactica Memorabilia Up for Auction
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Sci-Fi/Horror, Cable, News

Looking for a special way to celebrate Battlestar Galactica‘s series finale? Why not consider taking a piece of the Sci Fi series home? Starting Friday, January 16th, NBC Universal will begin the process of auctioning off items from the show’s four seasons. The timing of the initial three-day event will coincide with Galactica‘s network return.
Participants visiting the Pasadena Convention Center will have the opportunity to attend live panels hosted by members of the program’s creative team. Friday’s preview day will then be followed by two days of rabid bidding on hundreds of items. Those unable to travel to California will luckily still have a chance to get in on the action online. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the United Way.
