Tyra Helps Transgendered Contestant Get Operation
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Daytime, Prime Time, Reality, Talk Shows, Syndication, The CW, America's Next Top Model, News, Video
Although Tyra Banks is known for encouraging women to love themselves, the former supermodel is not entirely above physical transformations. On tomorrow’s episode of Tyra, a recent America’s Next Top Model contestant will be presented with a big surprise: she’ll be getting a sex-change operation for free.
Those who have been following Cycle 11 are already familiar with the story behind Isis King. The former homeless girl became the show’s first pre-op transgendered contestant earlier this fall. And while Isis (a.k.a. Darrell Walls) was very open about her situation during the competition, she admits it was hard not feeling like the rest of the ladies.

Watch Shepherd’s Fight with Hasselbeck on The View
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Daytime, Talk Shows, ABC, Syndication, Video
Although Sherri Shepherd was once known Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s conservative ally, the comedienne has been started to drift further away from her co-host politically.
On today’s episode of The View, the ladies questioned whether certain events should be dredged up in the presidential campaigns. Needless to say - they had very different opinions on the matter. (Things start really heating up around the 3:45 mark.)

After three strikes, Pat O’Brien is officially out at The Insider.
While no official reason was given for the host’s long overdue exit, many believe Pat was axed yesterday as result of a controversial email. An email that became the topper on the 60-year-old’s troubled history with the entertainment program.
Back in 2005, O’Brien was forced to explain himself on a primetime Dr. Phil after sexually explicit voicemails he recorded were leaked. Then in February of this year, he was readmitted into a treatment facility for problems with alcohol abuse. Although it was believed he would be fired after that second public embarrassment, the former host was allowed to return to his job—but only as a correspondent.

McCain Also Caught Talking About Lipstick on Pigs
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Daytime, Talk Shows, ABC, Syndication, Gossip, Video
Haven’t heard the latest controversy about pigs wearing lipstick? Well, then you haven’t been watching the news.
Today, Barack Obama is being fired upon from John McCain’s camp about comments he made during a speech yesterday. When talking about his opponent’s plan for change, the Democratic candidate chose to use this colorful analogy: “You can put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig.“
And while that phrase has been used many times before, McCain supporters felt Barack’s “sexist” comment was aimed directly toward Sarah Palin (the “Pitbull with Lipstick”). Unfortunately, the Republicans also failed to realize that their own candidate had used that same analogy about a certain female contender last year.
In today’s episode of The View, the ladies of the table talked about the two different soundbites. (You can watch both of them here.) If you listen closely, you might also hear Elisabeth Hasselbeck defend Barack Obama…

The Lohan vs. Cooper Battle Continues
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Talk Shows, ABC, Cable, Syndication, Gossip, News, Video
Earlier this week on Live with Regis and Kelly, guest host Anderson Cooper offered his unedited opinions about the “train wreck” also known as Living Lohan. (You can view that hilarious segment here.)
In addition to calling the Lohan clan “horrific people,“ he said that Ali Lohan was “allegedly a 14-year-old girl” who “looks to be about 60.“ (For the record, I completely agree with that remark.)
And as Cooper had predicted, it didn’t take long before Dina Lohan offered her response to the journalist’s comments. (After all, that’s how she makes her money. She picks up the phone and makes sure statements are retracted.) Later that day, the mama bear told OK! that the “cruel” anchor would get it in the end. “This is bad karma for him.“
